Update!

Progress is still being made on my house. Here is a list of what has taken place so far:

Crown molding in LR, hallway and kitchen;
Beadboard in kitchen;
Two new light fixtures in kitchen;
New vent hood over stove;
One new light fixture in LR;
New front door;
New front storm door;
New side door;
Cabinet adjustment (no more space between stove and countertops!);
Three new closet doors (bi-fold);
Repair of molding on outside of double window in LR;
Painting of ceilings in LR and kitchen;
Measurements taken for new flooring in LR and kitchen;

Marcus is giving me a statement tonight at church for what has been done so far. Pray that I won't be too shocked! There are still a few things I would like for him to do, depending on cost. I can hardly wait for the flooring to be done as that will make the biggest difference of all. Next will come a yard sale to get rid of some old furniture and, in turn, buy some new. Will keep you posted! Until next time...Mom.

Progress!

My weekend was wonderful and was filled with busy-ness. Friday night, I was part of a wedding rehearsal; Saturday morning yard-sale shopped; Saturday afternoon shopped with a couple of friends for new items for my house (cabinet knobs, light fixtures, doors, paint, hardwood, etc.); Saturday night, I played for the wedding; Sunday morning church; Sunday lunch with friends; Sunday night church. Today, further progress is being made on my house fix-up; tomorrow, someone else is coming over to measure for flooring. I'm excited and will keep you updated! So, until next time.... Mom.

Some of my grandkids

These are four of my five grandchildren (Ethan, age 14, is in the rabbit suit). Luke, the youngest, was napping. I'm just learning how to put pictures on the blog - in fact, Jawan did this one for me. Anyway, enjoy!

On a Roll!

Wow, I've had two comments on my last blog and I'm excited!!! Of course, they were from my daughter and niece, but still.... I'm also excited about going home this afternoon and seeing more progress on my house fix-up. The beadboard is going in today in the kitchen and the final coat of paint on the crown molding. Floors are next!

As stated in my last blog, our revival started yesterday, and the guest minister is WONDERFUL!! I was already looking forward to it, but that just makes me more eager to get there.

Until next time, I love all of you. Mom.

Another Birthday Weekend

God is so good, and I am so blessed! I went to Columbus and celebrated Andrew's 3rd birthday with him and friends and returned home safely. How precious those two little grandsons are to me, as well as their parents! I can hardly wait for Abigail to arrive in July to add a little more spice to that sweet family. As always, I'm looking forward to being in God's house tomorrow and spending time with my friends around the lunch table. Our revival starts tomorrow (and goes through Wednesday night) and I'm looking foward to that as well.

Well, now that I've shocked you by blogging twice in one week, guess I'll hush and let you revive yourself. Until next time, I love you Steve, Angela, Meredith, Ethan, Emily, Mitch, Jawan, Andrew, Luke and Stuart. Mom.

No More Excuses!

Betcha thought I would never blog again! ha. Since last time, I've enjoyed visiting with both of my daughters and all five grandchildren on the occasion of Emily's 7th birthday. I love my family and so enjoyed being with all of them (well, the majority - Stuart was not with us). This weekend, I'm going to Columbus to attend Andrew's birthday party (No. 3). He and Emily actually have the same birthday, but we have to have them at different times so I can go to both (at least that's my interpretation).

Today I'm finally getting started on some house fix-ups. The crown molding and chair rail go in today, after which I have to decide on paint colors and get an estimate on new flooring. I'm excited about how it's going to look but dread putting out the money to do it. I'm sure I'll be glad I did once it is done. I was up until past midnight last night stripping the wallpaper border off the living room wall and my body feels it today.

Our revival starts this Sunday through Wednesday, so you know where I'll be at night. I love being in church with my spiritual family.

I'm excited over the possibility of my sweet sister, Norma, coming over in May to spend some time with her son, daughter-in-law and me. It's been a year and a half since we've seen each other, so it's time. We're kinda planning on some "play" time just for the two of us (Dollywood or somewhere) and then on to Mississippi to visit with our brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mildred. I've cleared a week off in May, so pray that she can work out her plans.

Ok, gotta get to work. Until next time, I love you Steve, Angela, Meredith, Ethan, Emily, Mitch, Jawan, Andrew, Luke and Stuart. Mom.
