Still Waiting!

Still nothing definite to report where my job situation is concerned. I've made calls, sent resumes, talked to former employees/attorneys, and my main boss who retired at the end of December is doing what he can to help. He's contacted two different firms on my behalf so, hopefully, I'll hear something from one of them. I have perfect peace about the situation because I know (as one of the girls in my Sunday School class reminded me) that when one door closes another better one opens. Therefore, I am meandering down the hallway of life waiting for the right door to open. I do appreciate everyone's prayers, however, and know that is where the power is. Please keep it up, and I'll keep you posted on what God is doing.

I had a wonderful weekend and spent some great "friend" time with two gals that I enjoy being with. One is a regular that I see on a weekly basis, but the other is a long-time friend who lives two houses down from me that I seldom see. The three of us left my house at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and drove to Tallahassee and hit a yard sale at Thomasville Road Baptist Church, went to What-A-Burger for breakfast, mosied on to Bealls (not the outlet store but the real thing) where all three of us bought shoes, shirts and pants, from there to Target, then to Subway for lunch, then to Goodwill, then to Kohls and finally back home by 4:30. Needless to say, we shopped til we dropped! But it was a beautiful day, and we made memories.

My house guest (John, age 19) will be returning on Wednesday to take another course at the Technical College and will probably be here for several months. He's a sweetie, and I enjoy having him. Of course, being a teenager, he's out and about a lot of the time and doesn't spend a whole lot of time sitting with me. ha. But he's kind, polite, thoughtful of me, and very well mannered. I'm sure when he gets here I'll see a lot more of my own grandson as they are good friends. I will spend tomorrow night getting his room ready.

My eyelids are getting droopy so, until next time...Wanda.
