A Mary Heart

How I long to have a Mary heart in a Martha world!! Yet, each day as I leave my office I think, "I blew it again today." You know, attitudes and little irritations that constantly pop up and you speak before you think?! I pray each morning that I will make an impact for Jesus. I guess maybe HE is putting these situations before me to see if I really mean it. I must try harder!

In spite of the above, I do have joy in my heart for lots of things. I have been given the gift of salvation, feel good, walk regularly with a friend, have a wonderful job/bosses, have three super children, two awesome sons-in-law, six unbelievable grandchildren, a spiritually grounded church/pastor, a Bible to read and absorb, a home, a new car, a decent salary, good neighbors, food, clothing, etc., etc., etc.

There are so many who have so much less, so I'm thankful for the blessings God has showered on my life that are so undeserved. And guess what! Tomorrow is Friday! I must get busy and plan my activities. ha Until next time...Mom.

I know how you feel mom. We all get that way sometimes, but the great thing is that you recognize it and inspite of it all, you are aware of your many blessings. To me, that is a wonderful sign of growth and Christlikeness.

I love you and you inspire me so much! -Stuart
